Flat Panel and Pleated Filter

Flat Panels are usually used as Pre-Filters.

A majority are made as G2, G3 or G4 filter pads sewn or secured with a rubber seal (spline) to an Aluminium frame and most have wire reinforcing.

With plastic frames, the filter pad is glued to the frame tray making it a disposable item.

They are great when the filter needs to be flexed to be installed.

Pleated filters increase the surface area for better performance and longevity.
